Brininstool, Kerwin and Lynch is one of two finalists in an international design competition in Zhengzhou, China. The competition program called for two supertall mixed-use towers totaling 6.2 million square feet. BKL was one of eight firms invited to participate in the competition, alongside three other Chicago-based practices.

The Claremont House and Coffou Cottage have been honored with residential architect Design Awards. The Coffou Cottage received a Merit Award in the category of Custom Home/3,000 square feet or less. The Claremont House garnered two Merit Awards – one for Architectural Design Detail, and one in the category of Custom Home/More than 3,000 square feet.

Thomas Kerwin has joined David Brininstool and Brad Lynch to form their new firm: Brininstool, Kerwin and Lynch. Mr. Kerwin will act as Managing Principal, and brings with him over 20 years of international design and business expertise.

The Claremont House was honored with a Divine Detail Award from the American Institute of Architects – Chicago.
Brininstool + Lynch, as a member of a group of architecture firms, received an Honor Award in Regional and Urban Design from the American Institute of Architects – Chicago for the Chicago 2016 Olympic Plan.
